What a showing at State for the Lady Osprey.
We went in with the intent of winning it all and we did just about that.
The U12 took it to the limit and lost in the championship to bring home a second place finish. A very nice ending to a successful season for them.
The U16 took it all! State Champs !!!
They did it the hard way by losing a 0-1 ballgame to the Billings Blues. The Blues have had their number the past few weeks. The girls landed in the tough half of the bracket and had to beat some strong teams. They eventually beat the Blues twice to take home the ship and will be holding Tim to a not so well know agreement to change his hair style at Lady Osprey night.
A great showing for our girls. They should be proud of their accomplishments.
The U16 team followed up a great State showing with a strong effort at the Regional Tournament in Kent, WA
They started out sluggish the first games, losing to a strong defensive team from Washingon, 1-2 in an international tie-breaker. Despite the slow start they were determined to makes osme waves in the tournament and not go home without a fight. The proceeded to win Sever (7) straight games finally dropping the game to put them into the championship. Ironically it was to the same team they lost to earlier in the tournament and by the same score. Overall a 7-2 record. This was quite an accomplishment and was made possible be timely hitting, great pitching and some very good defensive play. Great time was had by all.
